Privacy Policy
Last updated August 21, 2026. This policy explains what Spectre Studio collects, what stays on your machine, and how to reach us.
Who we are
Spectre Studio (“Spectre”, “we”, “us”) is a local-first desktop studio for PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server. This policy covers spectredbstudio.com and related services such as the early access waitlist and account console.
Questions: hello@spectredbstudio.com.
What stays on your device
The desktop app is local-first. Database credentials, connection settings, and query results live on your machine. Credentials are stored in your operating system keyring. We do not proxy your database traffic and we do not receive your schema, SQL, or data unless you later choose an optional cloud feature and explicitly opt in.
Information we collect
- Waitlist: email address and a signup source (for example, the landing page) so we can notify you when early access opens.
- Account: email, display name, authentication data, plan, and billing status if you create a Spectre account.
- Support: whatever you send to hello@spectredbstudio.com.
- Site analytics: anonymous usage events on this website (page views and product CTAs) via Vercel Analytics. We do not use this to identify you.
How we use it
- Run the waitlist and tell you when Spectre is available.
- Operate accounts, authentication, and billing if you sign up.
- Respond to support requests.
- Understand how the marketing site is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal information.
Processors
We host this site and related APIs with infrastructure providers such as Vercel. Payment processors, if you purchase a plan, receive only the billing details needed to complete a transaction. They are not given your database credentials or query data.
Retention
Waitlist emails are kept until early access ends or you ask us to remove them. Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted or anonymized after you close it, except records we must keep for legal or billing reasons.
Your choices
Email hello@spectredbstudio.com to access, correct, or delete waitlist or account data we hold. You can also stop using the site at any time. Optional cookies or analytics can be blocked with your browser settings.
Children
Spectre is built for professional developers and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date above and, when appropriate, notify account holders by email.
